Kiwanis Rattlesnake Run

The 22nd annual Kiwanis Rattlesnake Run will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Danny Lopez Park (formerly Christopher Columbus Park) at 4300 N. Silverbell Road, Tucson AZ. This is a cross-country 1.66 mile course, typically with between 35 and 40 middle schools competing.

The registration deadline is midnight September 9, 2026 and all athletes must be registered via athletic.net. There is no charge or fee for participating in this event. Each team is responsible for transportation to and from the event.

Thanks to wide community support, this has become the largest middle school cross country meet in Arizona.  It takes a lot of work to put on an event like this for the kids of Southern Arizona so we always need volunteers to help out. MEET CHECK-IN

Check-in opens at 6:30 AM. Teams must be signed in before 7:30 AM so teams are strongly urged to arrive at Danny Lopez Park before 7:00 for check-in so athletes have adequate time to warm-up. Coaches shall bring signed liability release forms sorted in alphabetical order (A to Z) by last name and gender to facilitate check-in. Athletes must have a signed liability form in order to compete.
